These apply to the use of this website and by accessing this website and/or placing an order through the Telephone Sales Department, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below.

This site is owned and operated by IXP Enterprises Limited. IXP Enterprises Limited is trading as Furniture Domestic Direct (" we, our, us"). We aim to constantly improve and develop the Furniture Domestic Direct website for the benefit of all our customers. To allow this process to take place, we may occasionally:
modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, this website (or any part of it) with or without notice;
change the conditions from time to time, and your continued use of the website (or any part of it) following such change will demonstrate your acceptance of such change. The promotions are subject to change at any time without notice. If Furniture Domestic Direct is informed of any inaccuracies in the material on the site, we will attempt to correct them as soon as we reasonably can.

Damage to your computer

Furniture Domestic Direct makes every effort to ensure that this website is free from viruses or defects. However, due to the nature of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that your use of this website won’t affect your computer. Furniture Domestic Direct recommends that you purchase the right firewall and anti-virus software to use this and other websites and screen out anything that may damage it. Furniture Domestic Direct shall not be liable in the very unlikely event that while using this website your computer equipment is damaged.

Accuracy of content

Furniture Domestic Direct has taken every care in the preparation of the content of this website, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at time of publishing and all products have been fairly described. However, orders will only be accepted if there are no material errors in the description of the goods or their prices as advertised on this website. All prices are displayed inclusive of V.A.T. We make every effort to display the colour of the furniture as accurately as possible. But as colour reproduction depends on your computer’s monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of the colour is accurate to the actual product.

Before you place an order

If you decide you would like to place an order with Furniture Domestic Direct through online or by speaking to one of our telephone shopping advisors, please have the following information ready as it will help us process your order, however, we will be delighted to answer any queries you may have.
Here are some of the most common questions for you to consider:

Price and Payment

Items are subject to price change due to stock fluctuations and promotions on a regular basis. For new orders we will not refund the price difference or price match once an order has been placed. If an order is cancelled and then re-ordered to the same address an administration charge of £30.00 will be required.

Payment method is currently through Paypal. Payments can be made electronically by bank transfer, details will be provided on request.

Payment of the price shall be due at the date of the order. Time for payment shall be of the essence. If you do not pay the price on notification of shipment, Furniture Domestic Direct may bring an action for the price even though property in the Products has not been passed to you. If you fails to make payment as required, Furniture Domestic Direct may suspend delivery of the products or any further products ordered until outstanding amounts are paid in full.

All outstanding balance payments for your order must be settled in full before delivery.

Acknowledgement and acceptance of your order

If you have placed your order online, you will receive an e-mail detailing the products you have ordered. Please note that this e-mail is an acknowledgement and not acceptance of your order. If you require a paper copy, on request a copy will be send out to you by normal post to arrive within five working days.

Acceptance of your order and the creation of a legally binding contract between us will occur when we accept payment. If you are paying by credit or debit card, we will authorise your debit or credit card payment. Once payment has been authorised , your order is accepted. If you place an order over the telephone, we will send all your paperwork by post to arrive within five working days.

It is important that you appreciate and understand that this order is a legally binding contract. Your statutory rights, including any cancellation rights, are unaffected.

Processing your order and delivery dates

Goods which are in stock, we will try to deliver within 7 working days’ time. Goods which are out of stock, you will be informed of the likely approximate length of time. Once your order is confirmed as available for delivery we will contact you to agree definite arrangements for the date of delivery. Every effort is made to see that the approximate delivery date is accurate, but on rare occasions the manufacture of your furniture may be delayed through circumstances beyond our control. We will, of course, make every effort to keep you informed.

Any dates for delivery of the goods are approximate only and Furniture Domestic Direct shall not be liable for any delay in delivery of the goods howsoever caused. Time for delivery shall not be of the essence unless previously agreed by Furniture Domestic Direct in writing.

If you fail to take delivery of the goods or delivery cannot be made due to factors beyond Furniture Domestic Direct control (otherwise than by reason of any cause beyond the Customer’s reasonable control or by reason of Furniture Domestic Direct fault) then without prejudice to any other right or remedy available to Furniture Domestic Direct

Furniture Domestic Direct may:
1. Store the goods until actual delivery and charge the customer for the reasonable costs (including insurance) of storage.
2. Sell the goods at the best price readily obtainable and (after deducting all reasonable storage and selling expenses) subject to receipt of payment in full of the price of the goods in cash or cleared funds, account to the Customer for the excess over the price under the Contract or charge the Customer for any shortfall below the price under the Contract.

Where the goods have been specifically ordered at the Customers request and Furniture Domestic Direct have incurred expense in fulfilling the contractual obligations irrespective of the amount of these expenses the full contract price for the goods is payable.

Furniture Domestic Direct are not responsible for personal injury (not caused by Furniture Domestic Direct negligence), damage to property or damage arising by reason of inadequate delivery instructions and/or difficulties due in obtaining access. Furniture Domestic Direct are only responsible for delivery to a customer’s entrance door.

Furniture Domestic Direct will store goods for a maximum of 3 weeks. Such time period will commence upon the date when the customer is notified the goods are available for delivery. Thereafter storage charges will be payable by the customer to Furniture Domestic Direct monthly at a rate equivalent to 10% of the net retail price of the goods in storage.

The customer will accept delivery if goods are available earlier than the delivery guide quoted.

Delivery and installation

Your furniture is carefully transported and wrapped in protective packaging to keep it in good condition. This is all part of our commitment to the highest standards of customer care. We will ask you to examine the goods in the presence of delivery crew and if you find the goods to be defective in any way this should be noted on the delivery documentation which will be relayed to our customer services department who will contact you within 72 hours [excluding holidays].

On Delivery

On the day of delivery, please ensure that the delivery team can gain easy access to the room that the furniture is going into. Please make sure that the area you want the furniture placed is cleared. Our delivery team will unpack your furniture, install it in the room of your choice and if you wish we will remove all packing materials from your home and recycle wherever possible. To make sure you are completely satisfied with your furniture the delivery team will ask you to sign for your furniture after it has been installed.

Acceptance of the products

Other than where you act as a consumer you shall be deemed to have accepted the Products 5 working days after delivery to you. By assembling the goods this we deem as acceptance and the products can therefore not be returned.

Cancellation Policy

Distance selling regulations only apply to your order if the goods have not been custom made to your specification or if you have not examined the product in our store. If the Distance Selling Regulations do apply you can cancel your furniture by notifying us, in writing (e-mails are accepted), before delivery or within 7 working days beginning with the day after the date of delivery.

Due to their intimate nature, all mattresses will be delivered sealed in clear plastic wrapping that will allow for inspection. Any mattresses that have been unsealed will be deemed as having been used. Therefore they cannot be returned for any reason other than because they are not as described or are not of satisfactory quality.

Should you wish to return the goods it is your responsibility to take good care of the furniture. You are the owner of the furniture once it has been delivered to you and you are liable for any loss or damage. Failure to take reasonable care may result in a claim against you. To minimise the risk of any such claim we ask that you return the goods in appropriate packaging such as to prevent damage in transit.

It is your responsibility to return the items to our store at Unit 11 Lake Business Centre, Tarriff Road, London, N17 0YX in a good condition. However Furniture Domestic Direct recognise that many customers do not have the means to do this, and so will arrange collection during normal business hours (Monday to Friday) if requested. In such circumstances a charge of up to 25% of the price of the furniture will be made to cover the cost of collecting the items. This charge will be calculated according to the number of items to be returned, availability of a delivery vehicle, your location and complexity of removal.

Title and risk

Risk of damage to or loss of the Products shall pass to you upon delivery.

Notwithstanding any other provision herein, title in the Products shall not pass to you until Furniture Domestic Direct has received in cash or clear funds payment in full.

You shall not be entitled to pledge or in any way charge by way of security for any indebtedness any of the Products which remain the property of the Furniture Domestic Direct, but if you do so all moneys owing to us shall (without prejudice to any other right or remedy on Furniture Domestic Direct) immediately become due and payable.

Defective or Damaged goods

Every effort will be made to ensure that the goods you have ordered arrive undamaged and without defect. If the goods are found to be either damaged or defective in any way at the time of delivery, you must contact us immediately.

If damage is discovered after delivery, you must contact us within 3 days of delivery of the goods. Notification should be made in writing (e-mails are accepted). Pictures will be required for any damage or concerns for us to be able to resolve. Furniture Domestic Direct is thus not responsible for any damage notified after this time. We will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of any problem you notify to us and will have no liability to you for any failure or delay in delivering goods or any damage or defect in goods delivered which is caused by any event or circumstance which is beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in this Clause affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

If the goods are damaged or defective and we are unable to repair the item to manufacturing standards, we will send a replacement item upon confirmation that the damaged/defective item has been returned to us.

If the goods are found to be defective and beyond repairs or repair costs are disproportionate we will refund all monies paid by you for the goods in question together with any return delivery charges you may have reasonably incurred if you have undertaken to return the items yourself with prior notice, in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase as soon as possible.

The amount of any refund under the guarantee shall be limited to the original purchase price paid for the unsatisfactory merchandise. Our guarantee does not extend to non-domestic usage, or to goods which are taken outside the UK.

Non-Acceptance of an Order

We reserve the right not to accept any order. Non-acceptance of an order may be by one of the following:

If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by e-mail or telephone and will refund to you any sum paid by you to us in respect of order as soon as possible, and in any event within 30 days of the cancellation of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.


Promotions placed in the website is available for specific time and stock. This cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Any promotional offer is valid for new orders only, placed within the timescale of the offer stated. No retrospective discount will be adhered to.

Should a partial refund be required for any reason, any promotional discount given becomes null and void and will be removed from the amount due to be refunded. Furniture Domestic Direct reserve the right to refuse any order for any reason.

Unforeseen Circumstances

While every effort is made to meet our customers’ demands, cancellations or variations may be necessary as a result of unforeseen circumstances like an Act of God, war, strike, lockout, labour dispute, fire, flood, drought, or other causes beyond our reasonable control.

Following cancellation of your order any monies paid will be refunded by the method you used to pay us and usually within 14 days.

Your guarantee

Furniture Domestic Direct are specialist in domestic value furniture and we go to great lengths to ensure that everything we sell is of good quality. We offer one year manufacturing guarantee on all products. The guarantee starts from the date of delivery and offers cover against manufacturing defects on the frame and spring construction. Except where you acts as a consumer all other warranties, conditions and terms relating to fitness for purpose, satisfactory quality or conditions of the products whether implied by statute or common law or otherwise are excluded to the fullest extent of the law.

This guarantee applies to Mainland UK only. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Intellectual property

You acknowledge and agree that all copyright, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights in all materials and/or content made available as part of your use of this website shall remain at all times with us or licensors. You are permitted to use this material only as expressly authorised by Furniture Domestic Direct. You acknowledge and agree that the material and content contained within this website is made available for your personal non-commercial use only and that you may only download such material and content for the purpose of using this website. You further acknowledge that any other use of the material and content of this website is strictly prohibited and you agree not to (and agree not to assist or facilitate any third party to) copy, reproduce, transmit, publish, display, distribute, commercially exploit or create derivative works of such material and content.

Miscellaneous provisions

The contract between us shall be governed by the laws of England and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England. English is the only language offered for the conclusion of the contract. Our products are chosen on the basis that they will be used for domestic use. If you are planning to use them for business purposes please make sure that you are covered by the appropriate insurance. Where you decide to use the products in the course of a business, we exclude (to the fullest extent permitted by law) those warranties and conditions relating to fitness for a particular purpose. Our maximum liability to business users arising out of or in connection with the products shall be limited to the replacement value of the product in question (except in the case of death or personal injury caused by our negligence or in respect of fraud). In relation to business users, we do not accept liability for the fitness of goods for business purposes, nor do we accept liability for loss of use of the item nor any loss over and above the cost of the item in the event of a claim for breach of warranty or condition.

Furniture Domestic Direct shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver products or otherwise perform any obligation as specified in these terms and conditions if the same is wholly or partly caused whether directly or indirectly by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

You may not assign or sub-contract any of your rights or obligations under these terms and conditions or any related order for products to any third party.

If any portion of these terms and conditions is held by any competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, the validity or enforceability of the other sections of these terms and conditions shall not be affected.
